Project overview

Strategically located mid-way between the lucrative markets of Brisbane and Sydney, as well as between the regional centres of Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour, Kempsey Airport is a highly functioning and well-resourced asset.

The airport is currently utilised for a range of commercial and recreational purposes, including Kempsey Flying Club, private charter aircraft, Australian International Aviation College, medical and emergency services and Coffs Skydiving. Local company Macleay Aircraft Maintenance also operates from the airport.

The Kempsey Aviation Business Park opened in April 2015 and is fully serviced including roads, taxiways, power, telecommunications, water supply and wastewater.

A new fully automated aviation fuel facility was opened in February 2019, with a total investment in the business park (including State Government funding) of A$3.5 million.
