NSW businesses are invited to exhibit at the largest food trade show in the southern hemisphere
Fine food producers from across NSW have the chance to promote their products to thousands of national and international buyers on the NSW stand at the Fine Food Australia event in Melbourne later this year (10 to 13 September 2018).
Minister for Trade & Industry Niall Blair said 30,000 trade visitors are expected for the four-day expo, and the State Government is encouraging NSW producers to apply for one of 12 subsidised spots on its ‘Flavours of NSW’ stand.
“Fine Food is Australia’s largest trade exhibition for the food and beverage industry and it’s a great opportunity to promote NSW products and services to a very large and targeted food industry audience,” Mr Blair said.
“We are calling for applications by Friday, 2 March from NSW businesses wanting to exhibit on the ‘Flavours of NSW’ stand at Fine Food Australia.
“We encourage NSW food and beverage businesses from both metropolitan and regional areas to apply to help us showcase the quality and diversity of our industry.
“There will be new and innovative products from around Australia and over 45 countries as well as live demonstrations, masterclasses and industry competitions.”
Mr Blair said NSW has over 50,000 agricultural, aquaculture, fishing and food and beverage processing companies that feed a growing export industry.
“NSW companies are competing successfully in the global marketplace with the state’s exports of processed food and beverages growing 4.6% in 2016-17 and topping A$5 billion for the first time,” Mr Blair said.
“This will be the 18th year the NSW Government has helped businesses exhibit with participants on the NSW stand last year generating overseas and interstate leads.”
