Leading nutraceuticals and infant nutrition manufacturer Essence Group has received a $2.23 million grant to create 120 full-time jobs in the Shoalhaven.
Essence Group is an Australian-owned manufacturer, with over 15 years of experience in the production of infant nutrition products, listed medicines and dietary supplements.
The funding through the Regional Job Creation Fund will be used to expand its South Nowra facility to include a factory extension, wash bay, new flooring, internal panel works, equipment for manufacturing complementary medicines, as well as mixing, filling and packaging machinery. The expansion means that Essence Group can increase its capacity to process approximately 3,000 kilograms of new TGA complementary medicines over the course of an eight hour shift, and also enable the company to process and pack liquid products in container sizes ranging from 50 millilitres to one litre.
The grant was delivered through the NSW Government’s Regional Job Creation Fund, which aims to create 5,000 new direct jobs in regional NSW by providing incentives to expand and keep operations in regional areas.
