The Moree Special Activation Precinct is primed to become a global hub with a draft master plan now on public exhibition.

The draft master plan covers 4,716 hectares that includes the Inland Rail, proposed intermodal sites and potential land uses near the airport, and will be on public exhibition for 28-days.

Target industries include value-added agriculture, advanced manufacturing and freight and logistics, which will benefit from streamlined planning approvals and access to national and global connections via the Inland Rail, making Moree a true intermodal hub that will enable businesses to access global markets.

The plan was announced by Minister for Agriculture and Western NSW Adam Marshall who said, “Moree is in the middle of the most productive grain region in Australia. It is on the Inland Rail route, located on the Newell Highway, and is known for its high value agricultural produce, and innovative farming."

The wider community was extensively consulted for the draft master plan to ensure that the hub capitalised on Moree's location and growth opportunities.
