An ongoing campaign to boost recycling and build a circular economy is underway with Round Two of the Remanufacture NSW Program.

Eligible organisations can apply for grants for their projects from $10,000 up to $1 million dollars. Small and medium businesses, not-for-profits, councils, community groups and Traditional Custodians across regional NSW are encouraged to apply for funding for projects that improve waste management, processing or sorting capabilities.
Round one grants produced some great initiatives, including an end to end plastics manufacturing plant in Taree and a glass MICROfactorieTM facility at Shoalhaven. This funding will provide opportunities for regional communities to boost recycling capacity and contribute to an 80% average recovery rate across all waste streams by 2030.

The grants are co-funded in NSW by the NSW Government’s Remanufacture NSW program, and is available nationally as part of the Australian Government’s Recycling Modernisation Fund.
