Engineering company Simmons Global will relocate operations from Western Australia to Narromine, thanks to a $4.8m grant from the Regional Job Creation Fund.

The multi-million dollar project is expected to create 253 full-time jobs in the Narromine area and expand the state's manufacturing sector.

David Simmons, global chief of Simmons Global was thrilled that the grant provided the company with the opportunity to establish its factory and create jobs in regional NSW.

"Narromine is the ideal location to establish a manufacturing facility for the wide array of advanced technology devices we will produce and I would like to thank the NSW government for supporting our group and helping us transition our manufacturing back on shore to NSW," he said.

The advanced manufacturing precinct is expected to kick off in 2022 and start production on technology such as aerial drones and solar UV monitors.
