Nestlé Purina PetCare is one of the world’s largest pet food manufacturers operating from Blayney.

Nestlé Purina PetCare has been operating in Blayney near Bathurst since 1989. In 2015, the company unveiled a state-of-the-art A$50 million factory upgrade.

The substantial investment makes the factory the biggest employer in Blayney, one of the leading facilities of its type in the world. Nestle Purina has noted that the confluence of their technology with the skills and passion of the local workers and proximity to agricultural inputs in Blayney was a significant influence in their investment decision.

The upgrade included the installation of world-class equipment and a 5400 square metre warehouse, putting the Blayney factory at the forefront of global innovation for the company. The factory employs more than 300 people and produces around 100,000 tonnes of product a year for both domestic and export markets. More than 80 per cent of raw materials are sourced from within Australia.

The factory produces many well-known brands including Supercoat, Beneful, Pro Plan, Felix, Fancy Feast and Friskies.
